At Multi-Pack Solutions, our top priorities are the well-being of our employees and meeting our customer’s expectations for quality and delivery. We have long recognized the importance of having a comprehensive plan that ensures continued business operations. We are actively monitoring the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) situation and proactively taking steps to make sure we keep our employees safe. The below provides a summary of the situation and action:
Review of business continuity plan in light of COVID-19 threats
We have a team dedicated to monitoring this pandemic and have business continuity plans which are designed to ensure the continuation of manufacturing operations under many adverse conditions. We are working to apply those plans to the COVID-19 situation and the evolving guidelines from regulatory agencies (federal, local, state). Key areas of focus include supply of materials, labor availability, operation plans in the event of a verified positive test for COVID-19 and employee safety. Additionally, we have protocols in place that activate closures, disinfection and appropriate quarantine procedures based on recommendations by government and health agencies.
Aligning with public health authorities
We closely monitor updates from the Center for Disease Control (CDC), World Health Organization, State of South Carolina and local officials regarding COVID-19 guidelines and requirements. We will continue to seek guidance from these agencies, public health officials and government agencies and manage our activities accordingly.
Protecting our employees and our customer’s products
As our employees interact with each other, we have taken steps to limit potential exposure to the virus through vigorous application of the CDC guidelines in the facility. We have put restrictions on non-essential travel and incoming site visits and have increased our work area cleaning and sanitization frequencies. As an FDA registered facility, we continue to follow our cleaning validation program for product contact equipment.
Preparing the physical workspace
We have added additional surface cleaning wipes and hand sanitizer stations throughout our facility. We have instituted requirements for our employees stressing the importance of hand washing, limiting physical contact, and assuring that they do not report to work if they feel sick.
Assisting our employees
Our focus is frequent communication with our employees reminding them of the importance of good hygiene, providing them with health education and support whenever needed. Employees have been told, that in the event they feel ill, they should not report to work. Additionally, we have specific quarantine and communication procedures in place should an employee be diagnosed with COVID-19 or is asked to self-isolate by a public health authority.
We will continue to provide updates to this plan should conditions change. We appreciate your patience while we work through this difficult time. We remain committed to providing a safe environment while maintaining business operations as normal.
